Question.����� What is your point of view as to whether terminally ill patients should be able to legally end their own lives with medical assistance.

Answer. Jesus went round healing people not euthanasing them I am completely in favour of free or subsidised palliative end of life care ( Subsidised or free dentistry to the elderly and all Australians as part of Medicare) and I am completely opposed to disposing of people even if they do feel or are made to feel a burden to others both voluntary and involuntary euthanasia are completely off the agenda

Question.����� Would you support/not support a proposal to cut the Sunday penalty rates down to the same level as Saturday penalty rates, and why?

Answer. We live in a service based economy and if people choose to work in these sectors I see no reason to penalise their employers Employment and company benefits should be the result of competitiveness and choice offered by employers to their employees and not the other way round The more jobs there are available to employees the more choice there will be made available and therefore competitiveness of employee benefits to recruit those workers I would also like to see complete freedom of choice offered by employers to their employees of how much and how many benefits are to be offered to them because it should be their choice too about how they dispose of their earnings There has been far too much tinkering with what and how employers ie ABN Holders who provide 80%-90% of employment to this now temporary part time casual economy Mike Jessop Independent will reduce the burden of taxation completely on ABN Businesses and replace the GST and income tax in Australia Income tax with a Gifts Goods Services Tax or GGST
